Eimear Fitzpatrick of Our Lady’s Templeogue and Jack O’Leary of Clongowes were the winners of the senior titles at the Glo Health Leinster Schools Cross-Country held in perfect conditions at Santry. Retaining the senior boys’ team title were All Ireland champion St Aidan’s despite missing a few of their key athletes.
Race of the day was the inter girls’ 3.5km, won by Sarah Healy of Holy Child Killiney after a tough battle with Amy Rose Farrell of Mount Anville. Winning the inter boys was Adam Fitzpatrick of St Kieran’s Kilkenny. Special well done to the junior girls’ team from Temple Carrig school in Greystones, who finished well up in the team category in only their second year of existence. Leading the team home was Sarah O’Connor in fourth place.

KEVIN MULCAIRE (St Flannan’s) and Fiona Everard (MICC Dunmanway) were the senior winners in Munster. Former Skerries Rhona Pierce was second of the senior girls.
