What is sensei Tommy McGrane thinking here? Tommy is the doyen of Irish karate teachers – would you believe he’s 81. Some of the lads and lassies in the class were making very belated returns to the sport of their youth. The faces got redder and the dives for the water bottles more urgent as the hour passed. Tough sport. 
To the right of the class, these two lads and a friend were practising their wrestling (yes, that’s what it is).
