Clonliffe Harriers comfortably retained their Irish Life Health men’s premier league title on a wet day in Tullamore. In the women’s premier division, DSD ‘s six year winning streak was ended by St Abban’s.
Not even a super victory in the 4 x 400m could pull it back for DSD who had four wins compared to the seven for St Abban’s. Saragh Buggy was a triple winner for the Laois club, taking the long jump and hurdles as well as her specialist triple jump. Other winners were the Millet sisters, Nicole Kehoe Dowling and Daena Kealy. Donore Harriers won women’s division 1; Wexford County took the men’s division 1 title.
BRIAN GREGAN finished fifth in the 400m at the Birmingham GP. His time was 45.93 secs.
