Cillian O’Leary of Raheny and Sportsworld’s Aoife O’Leary were the winners of the Robbie Byrne Memorial 5km in Navan. Cillian finished over a minute ahead of Simon Ryan in 15 mins 54 secs, while Aoife just made it home ahead of Bohermeen’s Andrea McGuinness. The course was slightly long.
Winners of the ERP Clonliffe Christmas Cracker 5km in Santry were Rathfarnham’s Paul Stephenson who finished in 15 mins 20 secs and MSB’s Emma Donlon in 18 mins 29 secs. Second of the men was Clonliffe junior Brian Flanagan, while third was marathon man Eoin Callaghan of Star of the Sea. Raheny’s Annette Kealy was second woman.
BANDON’S Mark O’Sullivan and Lizzie Lee of Leevale were the winners of the Togher 5km in Co Cork on Monday December 28. Lee was seventh overall in 16 mins 40 secs.
