Brother Schools Cross gets 1,500; St Oliver’s Win Meath Schools

Yes it rained – but it was good to see some new faces coming through at the Brother Schools Cross-Country in Santry. So many turned up for the boys’ minor race that it was split in two,  with the results then combined to produce the top three teams.

Pierre Murchan of St Declan’s won the senior boys’ 5000m from Cathal Doyle of St Aidan’s  and Paddy Robb of St Malachy’s. St Aidan’s and St Malachy’s both finished on 27 points and so it came down to the fourth finisher,  with Ross Kearney in 12th place nailing it for St Aidan’s.

The girl’s seniorIMG_1920 race produced a sprint for  the line with Alison Armstong  from Coolmine CS just making it ahead of Cliona Murphy of St Dominic’s.
