Taggart Chase win at Aviva Leinster Schools Day 1

Eoin Taggart of Rathcoole won the senior boys’ steeplechase at the opening day of the Aviva Leinster Schools Track and Field Championships in Santry. In the inter 100m hurdles, Matthew Behan, CUS,  beat Joe Halwax, CBC Monkstown, for the title, despite suffering from a “dead” leg.

Mollie Scott of Colaiste Conglais won both the  junior hurdles and 100m, while Siobhra O’Flaherty of St Leo’s Carlow was the class of the field in the junior 1500m.
