Season’s best for Anita White at Spring Throws in Santry

IMG_8193DSD’s Anita White threw a season’s best of 51.37m to win the women’s javelin today’s Spring Throws meet in a chilly Santry today. White’s target is the European Championships qualifying mark of 57.50m.

Cushinstown’s Shane Joyce won the senior men’s 800g javelin with a best of 53.62m while junior Garreth Crawford of Lifford Strabane threw the 700g javelin 61.71m.

With the 6kg hammer, Kerry athlete Adam King of Iveragh threw a World Junior Championships B qualifying mark of 68.05m.  Dunboyne’s Padraig White won the senior 7.25kg hammer with a throw of 61.91m.

Lauren O’Keeffe of Donore Harriers threw 58.13m with the 3kg hammer. With  the heavier 4kg implement, Ferrybank’s Cara Kennedy threw the 59.86m, beating Michaela Walsh of Swinford with 54.43m.
