Schools: West Leinster Cross-Country

Carla Sweeney of St MacDara’s and Pierre Murchan of St Declan’s Cabra won the the senior races at the West Leinster Schools Cross-Country Championships in the Phoenix Park.
Belvedere dominated the boys’ events with wins in the junior and inter races, a second at senior level behind HR Rathcoole and a third in the minor race won by Templeogue College from Coolmine with only a point in it.
A record entry had turned out for the race, many of them experiencing cross-country for the first time and clearly enjoying themselves. Special well done to the pupils of Stanhope Street and St John’s Ballyfermot.Full report Herald Schools Sports today  (Thu)
