Shane Hughes of Colaiste Mhuire Mulligar won the senior boys’ 6000m at the Rice CBS Cross-Country in St Anne’s Park today. Chinnie Izuchukwu of Colaiste Choilm Tullamore was a fighting second with St Aidan’s pair Adam O’Brien and Brian Flanagan third and fourth and St Aidan’s the top team.
Junior international tennis player Ciaran Nolan of Colaiste Mhuire Mullingar broke the challenge of Sean Carrigg from St Aidan’s to win the inter race.
With two wins, a second and two fourth places, St Aidan’s took the trophy as best overall school ahead of CBS Omagh.
