The race started at the start of the Pennine Way in the town of Edale in the Peak District and finished in Kirk Yetholm. Along the way were five main checkpoints where hot food, drinks, snacks, medical attention and resupply were available as well as a number of smaller stopping points Entry cost £725 and a total of 80 men and women had signed up.
