Clohisey runs record 29:44 at Fingal 10km. Plus results round-up

Mick Clohisey

A brilliant race up front at the SSE Airtricity Fingal 10km saw Mick Clohisey and second placed Mark Kenneally both going under the course record of 30 mins 14 secs.  It was a second course record for Clohisey in the Dublin Races Series; he also broke the record at the Irish Runner 5-Mile last month. Finishing third was Galway’s Gary Thornton who was just outside the old record. All three are training for the Berlin Marathon and Rio ’16 qualification.

In the women’s race, Maria McCambridge won for a second year in a time of 34 mins 11secs – outside her own record of 33:29.

MARK CHRISITE was the runaway winner of the Mullingar 10-mile in 50 mins 16 secs.
