Thomas Barr ended his season with a third place in the 400m hurdles in Zurich last night. Barr’s time of 49.79 secs put him less than a second behind local favourite Karien Hussein, who won the race in 49.16 secs. Second was Rasmus Mags of Estonia in 49.35.
Mark English runs the 600m and Brian Gregan the 400m at tomorrow’s Flame Games in Amsterdam. On the roads, Fionnuala Britton McCormack starts her marathon build up at the Lille half marathon tomorrow.
Riocht’s Laura Crowe runs the 800m on Sunday in Padua, Italy, the 1500m on Tuesday in Rovereto and the 800m in Rieti on Sunday week. Ciara Mageean of UCD will also run in Rovereto where she will chase the Rio ’16 qualifying mark of 4 mins 6 secs in the 1500m.
Thomas Barr run his last race of the season at the Brussels Diamond League on Friday while Kerry O’Flaherty goes in the 3,000m steeplechase.
