The "old"souk

There are some nice areas in thsi city; walking along the Corniche is pleasant and allows for people watching. This part of the souk area is also a big improvement on the soulless malls, which is where everyone gathers at the weekend (and where I wasn’t allowed into a supermarket because I had a camera slung over my head!). The building, with the twisty stairway up to the belltower in the background is the Islamic Institute (I think). It’s stunning. My favourite building here. The souks have been refubished and re-designed in the “old” style. But they are relatively new.

    Hi Lindie,
Jaysus, can’t you even remember the 1st Commandment “first i am the lord thy god, thou shalt not take strange gods before me”!!!!
Musn’t have been beaten into you with enough vigour. Tried e-mailing you with a report on the Da who’s condition is much altered in the course of a week, shockingly so. Returned.
    Love D
