Sergiu Ciobanu of Clonliffe Harriers was an emphatic winner of the 38th Michael Manning Memorial 10km this evening in a 
time of 30 mins 12 secs. For second place Peter Somba outsprinted Freddy Sittuk to finish in 31 mins 5 secs, with Sittuk one second adrift. Gary Murray, one of a large contingent of Northern Irish athletes in action, finished fourth in 31:25. First over 40 was Rob Cross of Crusaders.
Laura Shaughnessy continued her recent winning streak by coming home first woman in 34 mins 2 secs. A distance second was Orla Drumm of Crusaders with Sinead Whitelaw of Mullingar Harriers third.
