Derval O’Rourke  provided the highlight of the second day at the Woodie’s DIY Senior Indoors in the Odyssey, Belfast when she won the  60m hurdles in 8.21. Emerald’s  Sarah Lavin finished second, with her time of 8.46,  equalling O’Rourke’s junior record, set in 1999.
In the men’s hurdles, Ben Reynolds  of North Down  was a clear winner in 7.75  – just one hundredth of a second outside the World Indoors qualifying mark.
Amy Foster of City of Lisburn won the women’s 60m title in 7.37;   Joan Healy  of Bandon was second in 7.58 and Leah Moore of Clonliffe  third.   

A surprise winner of the men’s 60m in 6.79 secs was Nigerian-born Seye Ogunlewe  of Celbridge, a many times schools’ champion. Pre-race favourite of Dean Adams of Ballymena and Antrim was second in 6.88 and David Hynes of  Menapians a close third ahead of Steven Colvert of Crusaders.
Winning the men’s  200m in a personal best 21.86 was  17-year-old Marcus Lawler of St Laurence O’Toole. Steffi Creaner won th ewomen’s race in 24.31, also a PB.  Eoin Mulhall of Crusaders  won the 400m in 48.40, with  Christine Mc Mahon best of the women in 56.06.
Letterkenny’s Daniel Mooney  won the men’s 1500m  beating clubmate Ruairi Finnegan, while Orla Drumm of UCC outkicked  Sarah Treacy of Moynalvy to take the women’s 1500m.
Ciara Everard of UCD beat Laura Crowe of Riocht to win the 800m in 2:07.34, with the men’s title going to Brian Kelly of St. Abban’s AC with a time of 1:54.94.

Day 1
Togher race walker Robert Heffernan  won a 14th national indoor title at the Woodie’s DIY Senior Indoor Championships in the Odyssey, Belfast today (Sat). Laura Reynolds of Mohill  won the women’s walk. 
Ferrybank’s Kelly Proper of Ferrybank showed a welcome return to form when she won the long jump with a season’s best 6.34m. 
DSD’s Claire Bergin ran 54.82 in the 400m heats, but won’t compete in the final. Christine McMahon, back competing after taking a seaon off, won her heat in a personal best  56.54 and is  favourite to take the title. 

Fastest in the men’s 400m heats in 49.31 was  Jason Harvey  of University of Ulster. 
Mark Christie of Mullingar and DSD’s Hazel Murphy won the men and women’s 3000m titles.
* DCU finished second to Villanova  in the Colleges Medley Relay at the Millrose games, in the Armory, New York. David McCarthy was 8th in the Wanamaker Mile in 3:37.86.
