McCormack wins Brussels Cross

Fionnuala McCormack made it back-to-back Cross Cup wins when she came home first at the IRIS Cross Cup in Brussels on Sunday.

McCormack took contol of the 6km race on the first lap and won emphatically with a time of 19 mins 28 secs. Behind her came home favourite Louise Carton of Belgium and Great Britain’s Laura Weightman, who were given an identical time of 19:46.

This event was the fourth leg of the Cross Cup series,  Next round takes place in Hannut on January 22.
