Joel Kositany has won today’s Deep River Rock Belfast Marathon in a time of 2:19.36. Kositany, from Kenya, was runner up in last year’s race and won it in 2013. He finished almost a minute clear of second placed Gideon Kimosop, also from Kenya with Tamas Janos Nagy third in 2:24:22. Local man Eddie McGinley was fourth in 2:25:25.
First woman was Berhan Gebrenmichael from Ethiopia in 2:40:57, followed by Elaatiba Khadja from Morocco in 2:51:05 and Katalin Garami from Hungary in 2:56:42.
