Meanwhile, back in Doha …
It was our wonderful driver Wael’s 26th birthday last Sunday and the lads sprung him a suprise party, asking him to pick them up for a trip to the supermarket.
Denis reports:
“Wael’s surprise party went really well. He returned from Mecca two days ago bearing GIFTS for all of us; we were overwhelmed by his kindness.. and it was not just ONE prezzie each; nope: it was TWO.
“Anyway, his birthday party yesterday was a great success and he was really pleased. We cooked a huge pasta (one veggie, one avec dead meat !). we bought a huge black forest gateau cake; also some niblets, including various nuts…..AND some balloons and candles.”
