Clonliffe’s Brian Gregan ran a season’s best 45.85 secs to win the 400m at the Rasschaert Memorial meet in Ninova Belgium. In the 400m hurdles, Paul Byrne ran 50.82 secs – his second fastest ever. Kelly Proper equaled her season’s best with a time of 23.24 secs in the 200m.
At the English Championships in Bedford, Ben Reynolds ran a personal best 13.48 secs – 1/100th of a second off the qualifying time for the World Championships in Beijing, which means he is almost certain of a “quota” place. Reynolds’ previous best of 13.49 secs dates back to 2013.
