Rory Chesser anchored Ennis Track Club to victory in the inaugural Dublin distance medley relay which proved the highlight of the final Dublin Graded Meet of the season in Tallaght. The format was a 1200m followed by 400m, 800m and 1600m and teams had to contain one woman (at least).
A total of seventeen teams entered (six of them from Sportsworld who really entered into the spirit of the thing) and it all came down to the final 1600m leg when Chesser held off Raheny’s Freddy Keron Sittuk for victory. The reward for Ennis TC was a cheque for €600. We suspect this enjoyable event will attract an even bigger entry next year.
