Update from St Michael’s: “We came up trumps at last this evening with the very kind offer of two boats. The first being a yacht, Helcia, skippered by Jim Gorman who belongs to the National Yacht Club in Dun Laoghaire. We have accepted his offer and now can continue our plans for the race. Can I also make a special thank you to Eamon McGrattan who also contacted us with help aboard his boat ‘Manover’ operating out of Malahide.
“We at St. Michael’s Rowing Club are overwhelmed by the support we received from the entire media network over the past seven days. We are very excited now about being able to concentrate on the rowing which looks good for departure Saturday or Sunday.”
