Cats in the Shade

Sorry – yet another image of feral cats, this time a mother and her kitten lurking under one of this town’s most famous landmarks. Went out early last Saturday morning at around 7.45am to get shots of this monument when the sun was shining on it. Very pleased with the result – and the walking was almost tolerable unntil about 9.15 am-ish, when I was very glad to have a full bottle of water with me. Since then however the winds have come….
Further good news is that the Euro-friendly supermarket is open again. It was only shut down for two days, the friendly lad in fresh produce told me. Judging from the papers, the health people made a sweep of the city shutting down cafes, restaurants, juice stalls and shops, most of them for selling out of day products. So no big rats lurking.
Chap came to fix my computer today; he’s orginally from the P*alestine and says living here for the past twenty years is made more tolerable because their cause is a just one. The awfulness on the Gaza strip goes on; headline news this morning, followed closely by Ir%q. Today’s interesting fact: Iranians aren’t Arabs. They’re Aryan. So there.
