Public security sleuths have mounted vigil on cyber cafes across the city after three Asian employees of an Internet café were recently caught accessing pornographic websites that were blocked by the local telecome company. .
The café to which the nabbed trio belonged was entertaining youngsters who were enjoying the banned pornographic sites until quite late in the night almost on a daily basis.
Acting on a tip-off, sleuths from the public security department at the Ministry of Interior that specializes in preventing crime kept a vigil on the café and when they became certain that the crime was being committed, the department was ready to act.
It sought a search warrant from the Public Prosecution and raided the café and discovered that a number of teenagers were enjoying the vulgar sites. The trio was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for interrogation and subsequent legal action. The public security department that conducted the raid, sought the help of Qtel to conduct the swoop. The department is now keeping a strict vigil on cyber cafes all over.
