Close to 2,00 runners of all ages and levels of fitness turned out at four venues for the Run for Mark in the Dark on Wednesday November 16.
In Dublin, over 1,400 ran around Trinity College with Joe Warne leading home the “four lappers” with a time of 22 mins 29 secs and hockey player-turned-marathon-runner Jill Hodgins the first of the women. In Mark’s native Belfast, Ben Robinson led home almost 500 runners; Shane O’Rourke led home about the same number in Cork, while in Galway, close to 200 turned out, with Ian Egan first home.
All the money raised will go towards Mark Pollock’s heroic efforts to get moving again under his own steam – efforts which have clearly touched the nation.
