* Dublin raiders dominated the Glenmore 5km in Co Louth on Friday evening. Raheny’s Dave Rooney was a clear overall winner, with Maria McCambridge 11th overall and first woman. Rathfarnham’s Sean Hehir won the Kinsale 5-Mile to add to his victory at the Ballya 10km in Mayo five days earlier.
* Highlight of last night’s final Dublin Graded Meet was a thrilling women’s 800m race won by Raheny’s Iseult O’Donnell in a personal best time of 2:08.05. Chasing her all the way to the line was Alanna Lally of GCH. A fine display of discus throwing from Tomas Rauktas of Clonliffe gave him the overall award in the Timing Ireland throws league. Hammer thrower Christian Furlong took the women’s award. Steven Colvert of Crusaders had a comfortable win in the 200m. 
* On a quiet weekend for athletics, Sean Hehir of Rathfarnham WSAF set a new course record of 31 mins 32 secs when winning the men’s race at 20th Balla 10km in Mayo, while Elish Kelly of Raheny won the women’s race in 37 mins 9 secs.
* At the Woodie’s DIY National Juvenile T-F, Cliodhna Manning of KCH added the 200m title to the 100m and 400m titles she had won in the first weekend; SLOT’s Marcus Lawler won the 200m and Ian Guiden of Clonliffe took his first ever national title in the 1500m.
