Linda Byrne of DSD improved her personal best to 32 minutes 52 second when winning the Creane and Creane Enniscorthy 10km.

Byrne had previously run 34 mins 20 seconds when winning the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon two years ago.
In second place, Maria McCambridge of Letterkenny was also inside the previous record, finishing in 33 mins 7 secs.
Overall winner of the race was Brian Maher of Kilkenny City Harriers. He led from early on in the race and his time of 30 mins 6 secs put him 19 seconds ahead of Rathfarnham’s Sean Hehir. In third place was Raheny junior Kevin Dooney, who had won the Leinster Schools Cross-Country title a few days earlier.
