Highlights: Paul Hession 200m, Brian Gregan 400m, Jessie Barr  400m hurdles all making finals; Stephanie Reilly finishing a repectable 12th in the steeplechase,  and Fionnuala Britton’s fourth place in the 10,000m.
Point to ponder: why there were so many disqualifications in the sprints, and not just of the Irish.

Women- 10,000m: 1 Dulce Felix (Por) 31:44.75; 2 Jo Pavey (GB) 31:49.03; 3 Olha Skrypak (Ukr) 31:51.32; 4 Fionnuala Britton (IRL) 32:05.33. 

Day 4, Saturday June 30 
Women: 1500m – Ht 1: 12 Ciara Mageean 4:19.23. Ht 2: 12 Orla Drumm 4:19.61.
2000m S/C – Final: 12 Stephanie Reilly 9:53.90. 4x400m – Ht 1:  Ireland (Claire Bergin, Joanne Cuddihy, Marian Heffernan, Michelle Carey) finished 5th but  DQ for zone infringement.
Men: 200m – Final: 8 Paul Hession 21.27. 1500m – SF 2: 9 Paul Robinson 3:47.26. 110m H _Hts 4: Ben Reynolds dns. 4x400m – Ht 1 Ireland (Brian Murphy, David Gillick, Tim Crowe, Jason Harvey) stepped into the infield; DQ. 10,000m: 15 Mark Kenneally 29:10.55; 20 Dave Rooney 29:57.82 (SB)  

Day 3, Friday June 29 
Paul Hession qualified for the 200m final; Steven Colvert had a disaster.

Women: 200m – Ht 4: 6 Amy Foster 24.04.
400m H – Final: 8 Jessie Barr 56.83
Men: 200m – Ht 3, Steven Colvert DQ 0.154. Ht 4: 2 Paul Hession 20.78 (SB). SF2: 4 Hession 20.84 (q). 400m – Final: 6 Brian Gregan 46.04.

Day 2 Thursday June 28 
Brian Gregan qualifed for Friday evening’s men’s 400m final when he finished second in his semi-finals, with the third fastest time of the round; only Pavel Maslak (Cze) 45.66 and Marcelle Deak-Nagy 45.68 ran faster. 
Women: Pole vault – Gp B: 7 Tori Pena  4.37. 400m H – SF1: 4 Jessie Barr 55.93 (PB). Steeplechase  – SF2: 12 Stephanie Reilly 9:52.50.
Men: 400m H– SF1 (of 3); 5 Thomas Barr 50.22. 400m – SF3 2 Brian Gregan 45.76.

Day 1 Wed June 27 
Thomas and Jessie Barr both through to 400m hurdles semi-finals as is Brian Gregan in 400m flat. Cuddihy disqualified 400m.  Jason Smyth off form – 10.47 in 100m heats, 10.52 in SF. Amy Foster 7th 100m heats in 11.58.
Men: 100m –  Ht 2 (of 5): Jason Smyth 10.47; SF2,  7th 10.52. 400m–  Ht 1(0f 6): 1 Brian Gregan 45.63 (Q for SF).  400m H – Ht 4(of 6): 2 Thomas Barr 50.59; Ht 6:  5 Jason Harvey 61.83.
Women: 100m– Ht 2: 7  Amy Foster 11.58. 400m – Ht 4: Joanne Cuddihy 52.30 (disq for lane infringement). 400m H – Ht 2: 3 Jessie Barr 56.30.
