From a recent court case: A man, clearly immune to personal embarrassment, told the police that as he was leaving a restaurant, a stranger approached him and said he knew magic. By reciting the holy Quranic verses, he could double the cash the man had in his wallet merely by touching it.
Not only did the man allow the stranger to touch the cash he had in his wallet (about Eu1,500!), he even gave him a lift in his car.
“But, when I came home and counted the money in the hope that it would have doubled, it had actually halved,” the complainant told the police. Here’s the thing: why didn’t the conman take all the money?
