Spring has sprung!

Some people love snowdrops; I find them difficult. The fact that you can’t buy them “in the green” here doesn’t help- though I have my eye on a few clumps on the side of the road near me. Very tempting, though I suspect illegal.
Not so difficult are hellebores, which drop their babies all over the place and are an elegant and subtle flower. If only they didn’t cross-breed so much – I could swear I had three different types (one of them quite expensive), but most look like the spottier ones above this year. Not that I mind too much.
PS: Hellebore tend to “nod” – you have to lift their heads to see them. Cut off a few and put them floating in a bowl of water so you can appreciate their beauty.
